Privacy Policy
This explains what information Grind to Glide collects, why we collect it, who touches it, and how you get it deleted. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
The short version
- We collect your name, email, phone number, and business details when you register for something, buy something, or fill out a form.
- We use analytics and advertising pixels (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) to understand what's working and to show ads.
- We email you — and text you if you gave permission. You can stop either at any time, in one click or one word.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your phone number or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing.
- Want your data? Want it gone? Email [email protected] and we'll handle it.
The sections below are the full detail. If you only read one, read Section 8 — Text messages, because that's where the promises about your phone number live.
01Who we are
Grind to Glide is a trade name of Above the Noise LLC ("Grind to Glide," "we," "us," or "our"). We are an AI consultancy and education business. Through our Lean Gym program we teach gym, studio, and personal-training business owners how to use AI in their businesses.
Our mailing address and contact details are in Section 20.
02What this policy covers
This policy covers the personal information we handle when you:
- visit grindtoglide.com or any page we host on it, including registration, checkout, and confirmation pages;
- register for or attend our masterclass, boot camp, accelerator, or any other program or event;
- buy something from us;
- subscribe to our emails or text messages, or reply to one;
- fill out a form, book a call, or contact us; or
- interact with our ads or social media accounts.
It does not cover other companies' websites, platforms, or communities we may point you to — including Facebook groups, Zoom, or any tool we recommend. Those run under their own privacy policies.
03Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number.
- Business details — your gym or business name, location, size, role, website, and the tools you use. Usually collected on registration forms or in program questionnaires.
- Purchase details — what you bought, when, and the amount. Card details go straight to our payment processor; see Section 9.
- What you send us — emails, text replies, form answers, survey responses, chat and comment messages, and anything you share during a live session.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and general location inferred from your IP (city or region level, not a street address).
- Usage data — pages you view, links you click, how long you stay, and the page or ad that referred you.
- Email and SMS engagement — whether a message was delivered, opened, or clicked. Most of our emails contain a small tracking pixel that reports this.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information such as government ID numbers, health information, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, or biometric data. Please don't send them to us.
04Where the information comes from
Most of what we hold, you gave us directly. Some of it we get from elsewhere, and we'd rather say so plainly:
- Business contact lists. We use publicly available and commercially available business contact data — for example, lists of gym and fitness business owners obtained from third-party data providers or compiled from public business listings — to introduce ourselves by email. If you received a cold email from us, this is how we got your business address. Every one of those emails includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes you permanently.
- Advertising and social platforms. When you click one of our ads or submit a lead form on a platform like Facebook or Instagram, that platform passes us the information you submitted.
- Our service providers. Our CRM, email, payment, and event tools report activity back to us — deliveries, opens, payments, attendance.
If you'd rather we didn't have your details at all: email [email protected] with "delete me" and we'll remove you from every list we control, no questions and no reply needed from you.
05Cookies, pixels and analytics
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies — small files and snippets of code stored by your browser. We use them to keep the site working, to measure traffic, and to advertise.
- Essential cookies set by our website and CRM platform (GoHighLevel) so forms, checkout, and page sessions function.
- Google Analytics — measures how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they came from. Google may set its own cookies; Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Meta Pixel — tells us which of our Facebook and Instagram ads led to a signup or a sale, and lets us show ads to people who visited our site or resemble our audience. Meta processes this under the Meta Privacy Policy. You can manage what you see through your Facebook Ad Preferences.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies are the ones that keep checkout and forms working, so blocking everything may break parts of the site.
Do Not Track. Browsers vary in how they send "Do Not Track" signals and there is no common standard for responding to them, so our site does not currently respond to them.
06How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- register you for a masterclass, boot camp, or program, and send you the details, reminders, and join links you need to show up;
- deliver what you paid for, including recordings, worksheets, and templates;
- process payments and keep records of transactions;
- answer your questions and provide support;
- send you marketing emails and — with your permission — text messages about our programs;
- measure and improve our website, our content, and our advertising;
- create and target advertising audiences, including audiences based on our existing contacts;
- keep our systems secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms; and
- comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
07Email
We send two kinds of email: transactional (confirmations, receipts, reminders, join links, and program materials) and marketing (offers, content, invitations).
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and our physical mailing address, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. Unsubscribing takes effect promptly and permanently. We will still send you transactional email related to a purchase you made or an event you registered for, because you need it.
Our email is sent through our CRM platform, GoHighLevel, and delivered from the domain grindtoglide.com and its sending subdomain.
08Text messages (SMS)
If you gave us your mobile number and agreed to receive text messages, we may text you about programs you registered for, reminders, and offers.
- Consent is optional. Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop: reply STOP to any message. You will get one confirmation, and then nothing further.
- For help: reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected].
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the sharing categories described in Section 12 exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information is not shared with any third party. The only parties who ever see your mobile number are the service providers who send the message on our behalf and the carrier that delivers it.
09Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor through our CRM platform. We never see or store your full card number, expiration date, or security code — that goes directly to the processor, which handles it under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS security standards.
What we do receive and keep is the record of the transaction: your name, email, what you bought, the amount, the date, and whether it succeeded. We keep those records for tax and accounting purposes.
10Live sessions and recordings
Our masterclasses, boot camps, and program calls run on third-party video platforms such as Zoom, and they are recorded.
If you attend, your display name, your questions and chat messages, and — if you turn them on — your camera and microphone may be captured in the recording. We may share those recordings with other participants, and we may reuse short excerpts in our marketing. If you would rather not appear, keep your camera and microphone off and use a display name you're comfortable with, or watch the replay instead of attending live.
If you are already in a recording and want a clip removed, email us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
11How we use AI tools
We teach AI, and we use it. We may use third-party AI services to help draft content, analyze responses, summarize sessions, and improve our programs.
Where we do, we use business or enterprise accounts whose terms do not permit the provider to train its models on our submitted content, and we avoid putting customers' personal information into AI tools when it isn't necessary. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you using automated processing alone.
12Who we share information with
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers who run our business. Our CRM, website, and email/SMS platform (GoHighLevel); our payment processor; our video conferencing platform (Zoom); our analytics provider (Google); our advertising platforms (Meta); and our accounting and bookkeeping tools. Each may only use the information to provide their service to us.
- Advertising platforms, for audience matching. We may upload contact lists to platforms like Meta so they can match our contacts to their users and show or suppress ads accordingly. The platform is contractually restricted to that purpose. Phone numbers collected for text messaging and SMS consent data are excluded from this and are never uploaded.
- Professional advisors — accountants, lawyers, and insurers, when needed.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe it's necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or someone else's.
- Business transfer — if the business is sold, merged, or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We'd give you notice.
13What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- We do not rent, trade, or hand your contact list to other businesses to market their own products.
- We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with anyone for their marketing, ever.
- We do not use your information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Some privacy laws define "sharing" broadly enough to include the use of advertising cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use the Meta Pixel as described in Section 5, and you can opt out of that through your browser settings and your Meta ad preferences, or by emailing us.
14How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it:
- Customer and transaction records — at least seven years, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe or ask to be deleted, or until you've been inactive long enough that we clean the list.
- Unsubscribe and opt-out records — indefinitely, on a suppression list, so we don't accidentally contact you again. This is the one record that deleting everything else would defeat.
- Website analytics — per our analytics provider's retention settings.
15Security
We use reputable platforms, encrypt data in transit (our site runs over HTTPS), limit who can access customer data, and use multi-factor authentication on our accounts. Payment card data never reaches our systems.
That said, no method of transmitting or storing data online is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as required by law.
16Your choices and your rights
Whatever state you live in, and whether or not a privacy law technically applies to a business our size, we'll honor these requests:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we're legally required to keep (like transaction records) and our unsubscribe suppression list.
- Opt out of marketing — click unsubscribe in any email, reply STOP to any text, or email us.
- Opt out of targeted advertising — through your browser cookie settings, the platform opt-outs linked in Section 5, or by emailing us.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity — usually by confirming you control the email address on file — before acting on an access or deletion request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Some U.S. state privacy laws apply only to companies above certain revenue or data-volume thresholds, which a business of our size may not meet. We've chosen to offer the rights above to everyone regardless.
17Children
Our website, programs, and marketing are intended for business owners and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and never from a child under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
18Links to other sites
Our site, emails, and program materials link to tools, communities, and resources we don't control — including Facebook groups, Zoom, AI platforms, and software we recommend. Once you're there, their privacy policies govern, not ours. We'd encourage you to read them, especially before uploading your business data into any tool.
19Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as our business changes. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If we make a material change to how we use your information, we'll tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use our site or programs after an update means you accept the revised policy.
20How to reach us
Questions about this policy, or a request about your information? Email is fastest, and it reaches a person.
